About Exhibit A Gallery
Founded in 2007, Exhibit A Gallery is a dynamic contemporary art space rooted in the heart of Little Ethiopia on Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles. Spanning 2,200 square feet, the gallery is known for its raw, unapologetic energy and unwavering support of artists who push creative boundaries.
Owned and curated by artist and creative director Richard Villa III, Exhibit A Gallery was established as a haven for artists, musicians, skaters, and creatives of all kinds—a place where artistic expression thrives in a Rock 'N' Roll atmosphere. Villa, whose design clients include BANDMERCH, Universal Republic Records, LAVA Records, Hollywood Records, Frontier Records, and Standby Records, brings a unique vision that blends fine art with street culture and countercultural flair.
Exhibit A has hosted exhibitions from renowned artists and has collaborated with influential brands and media outlets like KROQ, Juxtapoz Magazine, Thrasher Magazine, Alternative Press, LA Weekly, TAMA, Monster Energy, FOX, Levi’s, Dr. Martens, Fuel TV, G4TV, Scion, Jarritos, Vans, and many others.
With provocative exhibitions like Obey Your Master, Die Posers Die!, Daggers Rule!, The Detournements of Wynn Miller, Bipolar, Idol Worship, and The Totally Bitchin' Night of the Dead, Exhibit A Gallery has cemented its reputation as a cultural force—one that champions fearless creativity and celebrates diverse forms of artistic expression.
